Description
The Kungang are a great secret society with a magical-religious character. They are responsible for the fertility of the earth, the reconciling magic and the fight against witchcraft. The society operates in all Agra rites upon demand of the “Fon” (kings). The society possesses many magical objects (including masks, statues, etc),as well as sacred huts at intersections and nearby currents. The Kungang is made up of Kamvö, the old Nwala and other members who are chosen specifically for their knowledge of the magic-religious.
